Working in a PACK & SEND Service Centre is both challenging and rewarding. At PACK & SEND our operations don’t always involve physically transporting the customer’s goods. We are like a ‘travel agent’ for the freight and packaging industry – adding value by working closely with our suppliers to find the best solution for our customers. You will work directly with clients and suppliers – and because we deliver and pick up from all corners of the globe, you will be connected every day with people around the world.
The suppliers you will deal with include freight organisations like: road, air freight, removalist, postal and sea freight carriers – as well as other PACK & SEND Service Centres both in Australia and around the world. They also include packaging supply companies and our insurance brokers. You will learn about their product and service offerings, pricing structures and booking processes – all backed up by comprehensive systems and technology. This way, when a customer phones, emails or walks into your Service Centre looking for a solution, you will be able to provide all the services they require and offer them helpful advice.
We are of course famous for our value-added packaging services – and you will also learn to become an expert in accessing the right type of packaging technique for sending any item.
As a key front-line staff member, you are essentially the face of the brand - representing the company to our customers – corporations, small businesses, tourists, backpackers, eBay buyer and sellers, householders and government departments.

Service Centre Manager Attributes
Our most successful Service Centre Managers have a passion for embracing our ‘No Limits’ customer service culture and a confidence to make sales. A people person with a positive and vibrant approach will do well in this role because you need to be able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
You will also need to have an attention to the detail and motivated to undertake a relentless execution of marketing and sales initiatives - as you will be responsible for driving the growth performance of your Service Centre and managing it as if it was your own.
Experience in logistics can be advantageous – but certainly not a necessity. The key attribute is your desire to succeed. Our customers do have a high expectation that our Service Centre staff have good product knowledge to help them find the very best solution. To achieve this, we provide professional learning and development backed up with a support team, ensuring you have the tools to succeed in your role.
It’s a role where you need to be prepared to go the extra mile for your customers and overcome challenges; and if you do, your valued contribution will be recognised through remuneration, awards and rewards.
