Pack & Send - Chairman Mr Barry Smorgon
Chairman of the Board

Barry was a Director and Executive of Smorgon Consolidate Industries, one of the largest private companies in Australia for over 20 years.
 
In 1996 Barry became Executive Chairman of Jalco Group of Companies – which is now one of Australia’s largest contract manufacturing operations making a large range of products from personal care, industrial, cosmetic, plastic packing with customers such as Unilever, Alberto Culver, Avon and Colgate.
 
Barry is also a Director of several private entities including being Chairman of Toll-Jalco Logistics, Chairman of Board of Governors of Maccabi Australia (one of the largest sporting organizations in Australia) and AIJAC NSW an Advocacy Group and spends a lot of his time on not for profit organisations.

Pack & Send - Director Mr John Tisdale

Managing Director and equity partner of Jalco Group Ltd since 1987 (www.jalco.com.au). The Jalco Group is one of Australia’s largest and most diverse contract filling and manufacturing businesses. On joining Jalco in 1987, Mr. Tisdale implemented strategies that expanded the customer base and ensured that productivity and annual sales experienced remarkable growth. Jalco group has grown to a business hosting 6 sites with more than 400 employees.

Pack & Send - Chief Executive Officer Mr Michael Paul
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Paul is the founder of PACK & SEND Systems Pty Ltd and has been the Ceo of the company since its incorporation in February 1993. Under Mr Paul's guidance and leadership, the company has developed a national retail network throughout Australia which was recognised in 2007 as the 'Australian Franchisor of the Year' by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Franchise Council of Australia. In 2008, the company expanded its franchise retail network to the United Kingdom and New Zealand. In 2009, Mr Paul was appointed to the National Board of Directors of the Franchise Council of Australia.

Over 30 years experience in developing franchise networks with organisations such as Shell, Bakers Delight and Thrifty Car Rentals. Joined PACK & SEND in June 1999.
 

Pack & Send - Group Business Development Manager Mr Leo Tortorici
Group Business Development Manager

Masters Degree in Marketing from The University of Wollongong. Previous experience in business banking at National Australia Bank. 18 months experience as Manager of PACK & SEND Bondi Junction prior to being promoted to Marketing Manager. Joined PACK & SEND in November 1999.

Financial Controller

Holds significant experience in the finance sector and worked for 7 years as Chief Financial Controller for Rookwood Cemetery. Perry joined PACK & SEND in May 2001.

Franchise Selection Manager

Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wollongong. Over 14 years experience in Small to Medium Business as General Manager and Owner. Joined PACK & SEND in July 2007.
 

Pack & Send - National Marketing Manager Mr Steve Holihan
National Marketing Manager

PACK & SEND’s very first franchisee (1994 to 2003) which followed over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in various industries, including express freight. Steve recently left a consulting role in public relations and media with a wealth of experience to rejoin PACK & SEND in July 2008.

Business Systems Manager

Degree in Business (Information Systems) from University of Western Sydney and a Diploma in Business (Franchising). Over 5 years of retail experience at Coles Supermarkets. Nicholas joined PACK & SEND in September 2005.
 

Pack & Send – Learning & Development Manager Mr Damien Lisney
Learning & Development Manager

Over 10 years experience in learning and development, working for a software company, registered training organisation and more recently as National Training Manager for The Travel Corporation. Joined PACK & SEND in May 2008.

Pack & Send - Franchise Support Manager Mr Rod Baecher
Franchise Support Manager

10 years with Cadbury Schweppes as National Commercial Manager for Associated Home Delivery, responsible for 12 master franchises. Joined PACK & SEND in February 2000.
 

Pack & Send - National Brand Manager Mr Gabriel Jakob
International Brand Manager

Holds a degree in Business and Marketing with experience in building several brands nationally. Gabriel is also a qualified Financial Advisor and has worked internationally for several years, with business experience as a General Manager and founder of two companies. He joined PACK & SEND in August 2008.
 

Pack & Send - National Brand Manager Mr Stephen Krauklis
Software Development Manager

Stephen has over 15 years experience in I.T. solutions design and implementation. He holds a Masters degree in Systems Development and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer. After spending many years developing software solutions in the financial industry and subsequently running an I.T. Consulting business, Stephen joined PACK & SEND in July 2009.
 

Pack & Send - National Brand Manager Mrs Susan Paul
Director/Communications Co-ordinator

Susan worked in the first PACK & SEND store that was established in 1993 and has been Director of the company since 1996. Susan has had various roles with PACK & SEND during its developmental period and is currently the Communications Co-ordinator. Susan holds an Associate Degree of Arts (Writing).

Franchise Selection

Currently completing a Diploma in Business Management. Has over 2 years experience in managing small business within the transport industry coupled with several years working in Recruitment. Joined PACK & SEND in December 2007.

10 years of retail experience within the furniture industry, five of which were spent as a multi-site franchisee. Ken brings a vast level of retail and business operational experience to the PACK & SEND Team. Ken joined PACK & SEND in May 2008.

Eric began employment with the Corporate Store Division in November 2008 as Business Co-ordinator, rising to the position of store manager of PACK & SEND Kings Cross in November 2009.

Sean joined the Corporate Store Division in December 2009 with a background in retail store management with Woolworths. He is currently Store Manager of PACK & SEND Seven Hills.

Sam joined the Corporate Store Division as Business Co-ordinator in October 2009, coming from a background in mobile phones & car stereo sales. Sam is currently the Business Development Manager of PACK & SEND Liverpool.

Evan joined the Corporate Store Division in November 2009 as Business Co-ordinator. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked at a PACK & SEND franchise store located in Penrith, NSW for the last seven years. Evan is currently the Business Manager of PACK & SEND Liverpool.

Craig joined PACK & SEND in April 2010, taking up the position of Business Co-ordinator of PACK & SEND Kings Cross.  Craig previously worked at both PACK & SEND’s Pyrmont and Hornsby stores and has completed a Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management at UWS.
