Air Freight or Sea Freight?
PACK & SEND offers both air freight and sea freight services for personal effects and excess baggage. Experience has found when sending from Australia that up to 100 kilograms can sometimes be more economical by air than by sea.
Sea freight generally starts to become economical when the size of your shipment approaches 1 cubic metre or 8 shipping cartons (Removalist Boxes 42x44x61cm). You may be able to get together with other friends returning home or moving overseas to consolidate your personal effects and save money.
Contact your local PACK & SEND store to advise you on the best international freight solution. Do not use sea freight if delivery dates are critical. Unlike air freight, sea transport can be subject to numerous delays due to inclement weather, dock strikes etc. |
